2012 Schedule of events at the Islands Center at Knight Point State Park:
July 3: Fireworks! Free family fun! The band 314 will play from 6 to 9 p.m. The VFW will have a BBQ with burgers and hotdogs, Papa Ray's pies and ice cream for dessert. The Park is free after 5 p.m. for swimming, picnicking and of course fireworks. Donations welcome!
July 7: Automobiles at the Islands Center: a new Car Show sponsored by Vermont Auto Enthusiasts From the folks who sponsor the Stowe Car Show, this will be a chance to see great historic cars, trucks and motorcycles in beautiful Knight Point State Park. Interested in registering a car? Call 802-372-8400 for a registration form. The Car Show is from 9:30 to 3:30. Car Corral, games, vendors and plenty of food for sale. Bring the family! $6 per car.
Music in the Park: Tuesday nights in July, 6:30 to 8 p.m. $5 per adult, kids 12 and under free. Farmers Market will have food and beverages, or bring your own picnic, plus blanket and chairs.

August 9 - 12: Vermont Shakespeare Company presents The Tempest Vermont's best Shakespeare company brings the bard to an outdoor arena. Fun for the family. Tickets are $25 for adults, free for kids 12 and under. For tickets call 877-874-1911. www.vermontshakespeare.org.
